Nor-Shipping’s 60th anniversary exhibition is gearing up to be the most popular yet. Norwegian Offshore Wind will again host the offshore wind pavilion.

More than 80 % of the main hall space in the exhibition is already sold out, and Nor-Shipping is therefore expanding the space. In 2023 the expo featured an offshore wind pavilion for the first time in history, hosted by Norwegian Offshore Wind.

- After a very successful introduction of an offshore wind pavilion at Nor-Shipping last year, we are confident that the pavilion will grow in size and impact for Nor-Shipping 2025, says director of Nor-Shipping, Sidsel Norvik.

She points out that Nor-Shipping is the “window shop” for the Norwegian maritime industry, as well as being an important global meeting place. In 2023 total participants numbered over 50,000 professionals from 84 countries.

The Norwegian prime minister visited the pavilion last year.

-Offshore wind is an important and fast-growing sector with huge potential across the entire maritime value chain. Norwegian Offshore Wind made the offshore wind pavilion an immediate success, buzzing with meetings and networking events, and experienced huge interest from international and national industry leaders, says Norvik.

The pavilion aims to showcase the strong global value chain in offshore wind represented by Norwegian Offshore Wind, now counting almost 400 member companies.

-Offshore wind is booming and our members are perfectly positioned to help international players realise their development potential, says Arne Vatnøy, Communication Manager in Norwegian Offshore Wind, and adds:

-Nor-Shipping brings the world of ocean business together in one place, so it’s the perfect arena for us to showcase our member´s competency and forge important relationships. We had a great time in 2023 and are looking forward to accelerating progress further in 2025.

The pavilion will showcase expertise and technology that can contribute to the global development of offshore wind. The pavilion will also feature a virtual expo area for the offshore wind ports in Norway.

-The Norwegian ports are essential for delivering capacity to projects in Europe. This is key to solve the bottlenecks and reaching our shared offshore wind targets, says Astrid Green, who are responsible for port development in Norwegian Offshore Wind.
