Karmsund Havn

The Port of Karmsund is a multipurpose port strategically located between Stavanger and Bergen on the western coast of Norway. It serves as a logistics hub for the North Sea and has developed into a unique maritime cluster with more than 60 years of experience in servicing the offshore industry.

The port is currently developing significant infrastructure to support offshore wind and renewable energy. At the Haugesund Cargo Terminal Husøy, we are developing an additional 70,000 m² of area, scheduled for completion in 2027. This area is connected to the cargo terminal, where we operate two mobile harbour cranes with a combined lifting capacity of 308 tonnes. Through our subsidiary Karmsund Wind, we are developing the Haugesund Wind Port at Haavik, offering a potential available area of 600,000 m². The site benefits from several natural advantages, including high bearing capacity (solid bedrock) and deep sheltered waters. With a direct sailing route to the Northern European market, the location is ideal for both bottom-fixed and floating offshore wind activities.
