Svenn-Børge will help offshore wind companies succeed in Poland

Svenn-Børge is Partner and CFO at Vestervind Contractors, a company specializing in advanced marine operations and related support services for renewable projects. Svenn-Børge has extensive experience in business development in various roles from venture capital and experience with the Polish market from previous employers and Vestervind’s collaborations with companies actively involved in offshore wind assignments in Poland.

A hotspot for offshore wind in Europe

- I am excited to take on the task of helping Norwegian Offshore Wind’s members succeed in the Polish market. Poland is a very exciting market and a hotspot for offshore wind in Europe, and this is a market that our industry should really pay attention to with several upcoming important developments, says Svenn-Børge Vatland.

The Working Group is supported by Business Development Manager in Norwegian Offshore Wind, Gyrid Espeland. Svenn-Børge takes the helm after Christian Vistrup from Energy Consult Offshore Wind.

- We are very happy to have Svenn-Børge onboard as we increase our efforts in the Polish market. His expertise and experience will be really valuable as this will be a high priority market for us going forward, says Gyrid Espeland.

Upcoming activities

Several plans are underway for the Working Group for 2026, and we now invite our members to join us in kick-starting the 'second wave' of the Polish Working Group – as Poland initiates its second wave of offshore wind development with the upcoming December auction.
