Susanne will help offshore wind ports succeed


Susanne Starheim-Grøtter from Vestervind Contractors is the new Working Group Leader for Ports & Infrastructure in Norwegian Offshore Wind.
The Working Group has become an importan industrial and political driving force within the offshore wind industry. Susanne Starheim-Grøtter has throughout several years built an extensive network within the industry. She is now partner and COO in Vestervind Contractors, a company specializing in advanced marine operations and related support services. Vestervind is also actively involved in port development, a focus they believe could add value to the working group and its members
-I am thrilled to take on this exciting task, as port development is crucial to succeed with offshore wind in Norway and the markets around us, says Starheim-Grøtter, and adds:
- We in Vestervind like to think of the approach as being the port's best friend: not a competitor, but a collaborative partner that promotes mutual growth.
The Working Group is currently counting 62 members and is supported by Business Development Manager in Norwegian Offshore Wind, Astrid Green. Susanne takes the helm after Turid Storhaug from WindPort Mandal.

The Working Group aims to influence government to put forward a coordinating plan for port investments in Norway. Through international collaboration, the group will make sure Norwegian ports reach their export targets.
