Spoor and Wise Group launch integrated monitoring solution for offshore wind

At WindEurope 2026, Spoor and Wise Group officially announced a strategic partnership to simplify offshore operations. By combining AI-driven bird detection with robust maritime hardware, the two companies now offer a complete "sensor-to-decision" solution for the global wind industry.
As offshore wind projects grow in scale and complexity, the industry is increasingly seeking ways to reduce the number of individual interfaces and vendors. Developers need reliable data to satisfy environmental regulations and optimize operations, but the logistical challenge of deploying and maintaining high-tech sensors in harsh environments remains significant.
The partnership between Spoor and Wise Group is a direct response to this challenge, providing an end-to-end service that covers everything from hardware installation to real-time data analysis.
From sensor to decision: A unified approach
The new integrated solution is built around the principle of making complex data actionable. During their presentation at the Norway Pavilion in Madrid, the companies outlined a seamless workflow that streamlines monitoring:
Professional Deployment: Wise Group leverages its extensive experience in offshore hardware to handle the installation and lifecycle support of the monitoring systems. This ensures that the equipment remains operational and reliable over time, regardless of conditions.
Real-Time AI Classification: Utilizing Spoor’s specialized AI technology, the system identifies and classifies birds and bats in real-time. This high level of automation allows for continuous monitoring without the need for manual data processing.
Operational Intelligence: The raw sensor data is transformed into clear, actionable insights. For developers and operators, this means having the "intelligence" needed to make critical decisions regarding environmental mitigation and turbine operations.
By offering this as one integrated package, Spoor and Wise Group effectively bridge the gap between complex hardware logistics and sophisticated data analysis.

Strengthening the supply chain
This collaboration is a prime example of how specialized companies can unite to provide more competitive, comprehensive offerings to the global market. Instead of managing separate contracts for environmental monitoring and maritime hardware, developers can now access a unified solution that is "ready to go."
The partnership first began to take shape during last year’s Floating Wind Days in Haugesund. What started as a dialogue between two Norwegian technology providers has now matured into a formal agreement that strengthens the overall offshore wind supply chain.

Meeting the industry in Haugesund
Both Spoor and Wise Group will be present at this year’s Floating Wind Days (May 26–28) to showcase their integrated solution. As the industry gathers in Haugesund to discuss the next steps for floating wind, this partnership stands as a testament to the power of industrial collaboration in driving the energy transition forward.
The focus in Haugesund remains on how the supply chain can align to meet the ambitious goals of the offshore wind sector, with integrated solutions like this playing a crucial role in reducing both costs and complexity.
