Poland is quickly becoming a hotspot for offshore wind

by Gyrid Espeland
Business Development Manager

Over 10 GW of projects are already in the pipeline. More seabed leases and auctions are on the way. Strong government support and growing local industry capacity. There's a unique window of opportunity in Poland right now.

2025 has so far been an eventful year for offshore wind in Poland, as construction started in February of the country's first offshore wind farm, Baltic Power, and the Baltyk 2 and 3 projects reached their final investment decision in May.

But the excitement is not over yet - on the 17th of December 2025, Poland is holding its first ever offshore wind auction! During the auction, Contracts for Difference (CfD) will be awarded to projects of up to 4 GW installed capacity.

What can you do to stay on top of developments in the Polish market, you ask?
