Our German-Norwegian voice

We are proud to announce that the newly established German-Norwegian Offshore Wind Working Group has elected its very first spokesperson: Hanne Marit Grønning Strand, Managing Director at EnBW Offshore Wind Norway.
This fresh collaboration between Norwegian Offshore Wind and the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Norwegen) is designed to be a strategic bridge between two of Europe’s most important energy nations.
Hanne Marit Grønning Strand shares her vision for this new role:
I deeply appreciate the trust and look forward to collaborating with the members to strengthen the ties between Norwegian and German offshore wind players. Our markets are at different stages of development, but that is exactly why there is such significant potential in sharing experience, technology, and expertise across borders.
And also:
By tackling the themes highlighted by the group — from regulatory frameworks and interconnectors to safety and port development — we have a real opportunity to drive concrete progress in our bilateral cooperation.
Setting the 2026 Agenda
The group is already moving fast. With a roadmap of at least four meetings per year — two physical gatherings (one in Norway and one in Germany) alongside digital sessions — we are ensuring consistent momentum across borders.
Next stop: Oslo, June 12th.
Following a fruitful brainstorming session, the theme for our next physical meeting will be Security. We are currently exploring several key angles for the session, such as:
- Physical protection of critical offshore infrastructure.
- Cybersecurity in the energy transition.
- How geopolitics is reshaping European energy security.
