Gyrid Espeland is joining the Norwegian Offshore Wind team, focusing on opening doors for member companies to the markets in Poland and the UK.

Gyrid is a political scientist with specialisation in climate and renewable energy. She has several years of background from working with offshore wind in Innovation Norway, both in France and in Norway, building international partnerships for the Norwegian offshore wind industry. She now comes from the renewable energy company RES, where she has worked as a project developer focusing both on offshore wind and solar power. With RES, she has been working closely on the Utsira Nord floating offshore wind project.

«I am very excited to get started with the team in Norwegian Offshore Wind and to contribute with my experience to support the acceleration of the offshore wind industry both in Norway and Europe», says Gyrid.

As a Business Development Manager, she will be in charge of the activities towards Poland and the Baltic countries. Gyrid will also work together with Tor Arne Johnsen in the booming UK market.

«Offshore wind is an essential part of the transition to a renewable energy system and the battle against climate change, which makes the work of Norwegian Offshore Wind very meaningful and important», says Gyrid.

She will start in Norwegian Offshore Wind after summer.

«We are very happy to have Gyrid on board. Her international experience and competence in offshore wind will greatly benefit our markets», says CEO in Norwegian Offshore Wind, Arvid Nesse.
