Energy Innovation’s Steven Kjørmo Appointed New Leader of the HSE & Regulations Working Group
Steven Kjørmo from Energy Innovation has been appointed as the new working group leader for HSE in Norwegian Offshore Wind.

We are very pleased to welcome Steven as the new leader of the HSE & Regulations Working Group. His strong competence, engagement, and leadership experience make him well suited to guide the group’s work going forward. We are particularly pleased that Steven comes from Energy Innovation, which further strengthens the close collaboration and connections between our organizations.

Steven brings broad and valuable experience from the healthcare sector, wind power, and international training environments. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with health, safety and environment (HSE), emergency preparedness, quality management, and regulatory compliance in highly operational and regulated settings, where safety, structure, and effective collaboration are critical.

Building on the foundation established by Anna Mork, I look forward to working with Cecilia and the group to strengthen collaboration, share practical experience, and support the safe and sustainable development of offshore wind, says Steven.
With a background in prehospital services, Steven has developed strong risk awareness and hands-on operational preparedness experience. In recent years, he has held leadership roles within the wind power sector, focusing on operational performance, quality systems, competence development, and international growth.
Today, Steven serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Energy Innovation, where he leads global initiatives related to training, safety, and industry standards for the wind sector. His work is delivered through an international partner and franchise model, supporting consistent and high-quality competence development worldwide.
In his role as leader of the HSE & Regulations Working Group within Norwegian Offshore Wind, Steven aims to contribute to experience sharing, increased insight, and stronger collaboration across the industry — supporting the safe, competent, and sustainable development of offshore wind in Norway.
