Stationmar

Stationmar is a company that has developed a new concept for a floating wind turbine foundation that eliminate the heave, pitch and roll motions, and in principle enable the wind turbine to be as stable as a bottom fixed turbine, regardless of the water depth. The core technology of the system is the patent applied Heave Motion Neutralization system (HMN) system, that consist of an annular shaped air chamber in the foundation below the lowest sea level, where the air is compressed and decompressed as the waves passes by the wind turbine. This causes the air volume to change, which again result in change of buoyancy, providing the required upthrust to counteract wave forces, and neutralizing the wind turbine heave motions. Stationmar also has a novel concept for a bottom fixed offshore wind turbine, that can be fully assembled and outfitted at the shore side, and efficiently towed to the location and installed.
