X1 Wind

X1 Wind is a floating wind technology developer that has developed an innovative platform design optimized for deep water sites. Its proprietary technology offers a substantially more competitive platform design in terms of weight, CAPEX and LCOE than the current solutions available. X1 Wind's approach is based on a downwind-configured weathervaning platform design, allowing for an efficient and scalable structural design, while minimising the environmental impact on the ocean. X1 Wind has successfully executed several tank testing campaigns and completed a full-featured part-scale demonstrator in the Canary Islands. The company is currently developing its 1st commercial-scale demonstration project in the South of France while advancing on commercial designs for turbines in the range of 15MW and beyond.
