WindSpider is a technology company, developing an innovative and cost-efficient lifting solution for installation and major component replacement of floating and bottom-fixed as well as onshore wind turbines. Our self-erecting lifting technology utilizes the wind turbine tower as support for the crane structure, which eliminates issues with relative motion between the WindSpider crane and the wind turbine, allowing for installation and maintenance operations on site offshore, even on floating turbines. Our technology is compatible with many existing vessels and barges, requires no design changes to the turbine design and is modular and scalable. With a lifting capacity of +1 500 metric tons, no practical height restrictions and increased operability at windy sites, WindSpider is prepared for the new generations of wind turbines.
