Kongsberg Norcontrol (KNC) is a leading provider of surveillance solutions for both coastal/port areas and offshore installations. The purpose is ensuring safety and security at a defined area by having situational awareness over vessel traffic, weather data, personnel at the sites and potentially spill to sea. KNC delivered the first VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) for the North Sea for over 40 years ago ensuring safe transport of hydrocarbons from Ekofisk.
