Norway is a pioneer in floating offshore wind, and we are proud to host the industry’s most significant international meeting place.

This event brings together key figures, leaders, and guests from around the world to share experiences and knowledge. We expect between 800-1000 visitors this year. Several distinguished speakers have been featured in the programme, such as The Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, CEO of Wind Europe Giles Dickson, CEO of NORCE Camilla Stoltenberg and UK Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero RT Hon Graham Stuart.

2025 will be a pivotal year for floating wind in Norway, as we put our first large scale floating offshore wind park out to tender. Markets in Europe and Asia are escalating the development of floating technology and successful auctions.

The conference programme in 2025 will start with an international high-level political panel on the main stage, involving top Energy executives from the major floating wind nations. We will have sessions on Nature Positive, HSE and regulations, Cost predictions, Global ports, AI and Marine operations.

First and foremost, Floating Wind Days is a professional meeting place where deals get done. We facilitate B2Bs through our festival app and organize several arenas for socializing throughout the event.

In addition, we are delighted to take our guests on a visit to our Marine Energy Test Centre, (METCentre), home to the world’s first floating turbine. The two floaters off the coast of Karmøy are central to the international offshore wind initiative and are just a short boat trip from Haugesund. This year, the trip will be organized on the evening before the conference programme, on May 20th.

The days before the conference will also be packed with exciting site visits, especially aimed at our international guests who would like to get the most out of their stay in Norway.

We would like to remind you that we have reserved all the hotels in the area these days, to make sure we can accommodate all our guests. So, you must book your room via our booking system. The different hotel opportunities appear after you have chosen your conference ticket.
