Join Norwegian Offshore Wind on the second Visit NOW to Italy.
Why join the Visit?
- Ambitious plans: Italy has set the ambitious objective of 5 GW of offshore wind by 2030. Terna, the TSO, has received applications for grid connection for capacity of 95 GW of offshore wind. However, the power offtake scheme (FER 2 Decree) is not place yet. FER 2 Decree is expected to secure FID for the first offshore wind farms in Italy.
- Commercial opportunities in Sicily: Sicily is together with Puglia and Sardinia the hotspots for offshore wind Italy. Over 15 GW of offshore wind parks are already in the pipeline outside the west coast of Sicily, where Hannibal (250MW, floating), developed by GreenIT and Copenhagen Offshore Partners, is probably one the first wind farms project in the pipeline in Italy.
- Supply chain is getting ready: Palermo Port, Fincantieri shipyard and Port of Augusta are local strongholds for potential fabrication and assembly of offshore wind turbines in Sicily. For securing activities in Sicily they could be important enabler for the Norwegian supply chain.
What do you get?
- Meet offshore wind developers targeting Italy and specifically Sicily
- Meet the main ports and shipyard in Sicily and the local supply chain
- Team up with Norwegian supply chain targeting Italy
